Warning: Quiet Web Ahead…
Aug 24th
For those who don’t know me on Facebook or LiveJournal or in Real Life, you have missed out of my sheer terror of a trip that I have coming up.
I have a Microsoft Certification Boot Camp coming up which sends me up to the North East of the country for 10 days, 9 nights to take… 8 full classes AND tests. These are MCSA, MCSE, MCP, MCTS (3), MCITP and another to migrate the MCSE to 2008 standards.
This is a series of HELL classes and as such, while I’m there, I highly doubt I’ll be doing a lot to the website here. I will still be able to get some stuff done remotely. But it will be fairly quiet as I won’t be able to start up any projects.
And when I return I’ll let everyone know how I did. With luck, I’ll actually pass a few of these and be well on my way to a raise… or barring that, some place that WILL give me a raise. (Not getting one for three years sucks. And still having a partner trying to find a job while I’m going through credit counseling, double whammy.)
So wish me luck… and if you MUST get something posted, get it to me before Thursday. After that, I’ll be off and on again on here at odds hours whenever I can until after Labor Day. Enjoy!
While the cats are away… the mouse play. Except when the cat has an iPhone. So watch out!
The Return of The Guide!
Aug 8th
Here at Gaystlouis.com, years ago, the website featured a diverse listing of GLBT Resources for the community. Sadly, that vanished a few iterations back and looked to have vanished for good.
Alas… that has changed! The Guide is back!
You can find it on the menu bar on the website.
I need YOUR help though in adding new entries and adding descriptions to existing entries. Many of these groups/places I only know in passing so I’d love more information to share with the community! Just email to webmaster@gaystlouis.com and I’ll add the information.
FAQ: Why the new website?
Jul 25th
Gaystlouis.com goes through a change every few years.
As the website has evolved, it has gone through transformations.
Keep in mind, it *IS* a thirteen year old website. It is older than Google. It is older than many kinds entering high school.
The early days, the website was a simple TEXT webdesign, handed coded by myself. Eventually I learned to write a few minor CGI scripts to handle things like Server Side Includes, so we could do things like online surveys, or allow people to sign up for our mailing list, hosted over on Queernet.org.

Pride Parade Photos 2010 Uploaded!
Jul 10th
It’s finally done!
After nearly 10 days of non-stop editing, the 2010 Pride Parade Photos are online!
Three people (myself, my partner Hunter and a very good friend Jay), five cameras (two video, three still), one ladder, lots of velcro, and a *LOT* of editing…
Over 1500+ pictures organized by group in the order they marched.
See below for a listing of the groups and some answers to some basic questions.

Folks who comment on posts here have the ability to use a Gravatar avatar image.
What is that? This works for this site as well as many others (like STLToday’s website).
Gravatar is a website which allows you to upload an image which gets associated with your various online IDs.
Just go to: Gravatar.com for all the details.
Most WordPress blogs use the system by default. Just a quick tip.
